One of the most debated questions in the fitness and workout realm is whether is best to do your cardio workouts before or after weightlifting. Some experts recommend cardio exercises to be executed before weightlifting while others are totally against such thing.

Today will be looking at the 4 reasons to do cardio exercises after. So here they are:
- Injury - Cardio Workout before lifting increase the risk of injuries due to muscle fatigue.
- Fat burning - A 40 to 50 minutes workout session, followed by 20 to 40 of cardio workout you’ll burn more fat, first because your body will need more energy to go through the cardio workout and second when you finish lifting your body is fat burning mode.
- Increase Muscle Size and Strength - If you do a hard cardio workout before lifting, you deplete glycogen, which makes the workout ineffective.
- Focus - This is my personal advice, when I go to the gym my mind is focused on my workout session, or lets say on the weights that I’ll lift, if I do a 20 to 30 minutes cardio workout I lose my focus not say energy and my weightlifting sessions ends up not been as good as it should.

Thanks. That’s very good to know. I was always doing my cardio before my workout. Now I’ll try it after my workout. Take care. Cheers.
